Elijah Rising

Please be careful of non-profit organizations. According to them they dont have to abide by HIPPA, with exception to the Psychologist on staff, which means the rest of the staff can give your personal, identifying, information (location, cell phone number, legal name change, etc.) to people they dont have permission to. No matter what an organization may think of you, they still shouldnt give out your information to people they dont know. No release of information papers were signed. At the very least its unethical.

I completed an internship with Elijah Rising and fell in love with the organization (and Jesus too)! Aside from being an incredible group of individuals who share the love of Christ, this is also one of the most organized non-profit organizations (NPO) I have had the pleasure to work for. I have experience working with NPOs in the past and in comparison, Elijah Rising has superior processes, guidelines, communication, and training for new staff members. From day 1, I was impressed with how smooth operations ran despite all the unknowns they ran into with this work. Elijah Rising never gives up on anyone they encounter either. From the people they meet in Houston, to the residents they currently serve, to their former residents and former staff members, Elijah Rising maintains contact, helps them with anything they need, and always prays for them. YOU CAN DO ALL THINGS THROUGH JESUS CHRIST, and Elijah Rising PROVES THIS.
