My family and I toured this facility last year when we were looking for a new placement for our son. We were told at the time that it might take nine months to get a therapist credentialed due to the difficulties of working with Tricare, but that he would be on the waiting list and we would be kept in the loop as the process went along. In October of 2018, I contacted the intake coordinator, Danielle, to inquire about the process since I had heard nothing from them at all. She informed me that they had decided to drop Tricare because it was just too difficult to work with them and that she was contacting all of her Tricare families to let them know. I told her at that time that my son would be going on Aetna insurance in November so perhaps that would be more beneficial. She said great news and to let her know when we got the new information and she would run his benefits and he would be kept on the waiting list because new spots should be opening up at the beginning of 2019. Great. So, I contacted the facility at the end of January and spoke to the girl who answered the phone and asked to speak to Danielle. She said Danielle was in a meeting, so I left a message on voicemail and emailed her. Three days went by, nothing. So I called again. Once again, Courtney (I believe is her name), took the call, somewhat impatient to learn it was me again, but me on hold when I asked if Danielle was available, came back and told me she wasn't. I told her that I emailed Danielle per her instructions of sending the information, but that I had not received a phone call or email. She said she would make sure Danielle responded. Danielle did respond later in the day by email to let me know she had received the information and she would check benefits the next week since it was a Friday afternoon. Great again, I thought. That was over a month ago. I have never received another email or phone call from this place. I feel like my son and my family are not welcome at this facility. As my son is also severely Autistic and nonverbal, I would question the lack of communication. If it's this difficult to obtain placement at this facility, how can I trust what's going on behind closed doors? My son has been in ABA therapy for 10 years. He's been to other clinics and had several over ABAs in the home. I have to honestly say that this experience has been the worst right out of the gate. We have never had such an distasteful experience with an ABA clinic...not even a public school. I was so hopeful that this place would be a great fit for my son as he's getting older and I really loved the set up of the new facility, but first impressions are everything...especially when it comes to the people you entrust with your kids. Sadly, our experience has been anything but pleasant. It's been a major disappointment.
