I have nothing but good things to say about my one appointment with Christina Shephard. This review has nothing to do with her. The administrative staff here is awful. I've been putting off my first therapy appointment here because I just don't want to deal with them. The following is true and I have receipts to back it up. It revolves around the appointment I had scheduled for Monday, 3/11/24 at 9am. On 3/10/24 I had gone into the patient portal and completed all documents that were available to fill out. I had done this prior to my first appointment and had no issues. At 8:21am, the morning of my appointment (3/11), I got an email saying that new forms were available for me in the patient portal. At 8:22am the same morning, I got a voicemail from the office staff saying that I had incomplete forms and that my 9am appointment would have to be rescheduled for another day. They provided a direct number to call them back with questions or to reschedule. However, when I called, the number went straight to voicemail and stated that the office opened at 9am. At this point, I decided to go into the office since I could be there earlier than I could get someone to answer the phone. In the office, the staff were... cordial but dismissive. I was made to feel like it was my fault the forms weren't filled out and I was told that I could fill them out on my phone (no paper forms were available to fill out) and see the provider when I was finished. However, I was cutting into my own appointment time and the appointment would not be extended. I was ok with this and breezed through the forms on my phone. However, the last form was a very long questionairre which included written responses, family history, etc... I was generally unwilling to do this on my phone and even moreso unwilling because I had filled out the exact same form for my first appointment the week prior. The admin staff assured me that the form I had filled out the week before couldn't be sent to the new provider I was meant to see. They were also unable to print out or provide me my prior responses to the form so that I could copy them to the new form. The staff said that if it was "a hassle", I could reschedule still. At this time I decided to leave and postpone my appointment. The attitude of the staff was such that I had no interest in rescheduling with them on the spot. In fact, I haven't interacted with Lifestance since, other than to pay a bill. My desire to avoid the admin staff is so great that I am actively harming my mental health by not seeing a provider. It's been 3 weeks since this all happened. I wanted to take my time and try to handle things non-publicly. I reached out to Lifestance and I reached out directly to wecare at lifestance dot com, which I found in another negative review. They said someone would be in touch with me, but nobody ever called. I reached out again saying I didn't receive a call or I had missed the call, and I never heard back. That was on 3/21. So at this time I am choosing to make my experience public. As if the above wasn't enough, Lifestance's system didn't understand daylight savings time. My appointment had been booked for 9am, but starting on Sunday 3/10, when DST went into effect, my appointment said 10am. I showed up at 9am because I figured what they meant. But the staff denied it being an issue despite the clear screenshots I had of texts confirming my 9am appointment but the online portal now showing 10am. My review would be 1 star either way. But this further illustrates my state of frustration with the team.
