        Cold called me while I was at work asking if I wanted to "follow up about my 401(k) with Fidelity" Took a few questions to figure out that they were not affiliated with either Fidelity or my employer. It really felt like they were trying to "trick" me into believing it was an official call related to my employer funded retirement account. Any company that would resort to these tactics must be desperate for clients and I would not trust them.

        I requested a relatively simple analysis of the effect of rising rates on my fixed income portfolio and was provided with an obviously incorrect oversimplification that was of no help. Subsequently I asked for assistance in transfer of appreciated securities to a donor advised fund and was told it was too late. I later discovered this was completely incorrect and the transfer could have been done.
