Holiday Inn Houston-InterContinental Arpt, an IHG Hotel

They always forget to clean my room, stains in the couch and found blood in one of the pillow cases. Towels are always stained, when you call the front desk they say they will act immediately but nothing ever changes. Its always more reactive instead of proactive. This staff did Not respect the door handle sign that says "Privacy, Do Not Disturb" when they Knocked on the door and tried to open it at 0930AM... 2.5hrs before my 1200PM check out. After over 40hrs of traveling and Not having a chance to sleep in a bed, This was the one bedroom and comfort before traveling for another 10hrs... This hotel Stay was fouled by negligent staff who could not read a simple sign on the door because it appears, all they care about is turning over bed sheets and guest for the quantity of occupancy. Not recommended for rest and relaxation. You can Not sleep inn at the Holiday Inn.

I stayed with a friend on March 13-17 of last week. Is was alright but there were a few problems. The first problem was that the room was to be handicap accessible, but wasnt. My friend needed a shower chair. The staff did bring us pnecafter it was requested. I made reservations about a month earlier. The second issue was rpm cleanliness. The person cleaning our room didnt fully clean the room and take up all the trash. The issue was how to count money. When I ate at the inns restaurant the person taking my change for twenty dollars and three cents mistakenly thought a dime was a penny, so she took a dime and two pennies. I tried to explain to her the issue, but she mis understood and gave me three pennies back in return. Its only ten cents, but there needs to be a better awareness when giving the correct change back to customers. Another issue that comes to mind is cost and food quality. I felt the food was nowhere near worth what it cost. Overall the staff were nice and helpful.

tldr; great place to stay if you like a dirty room, cold food and aren't too attached to your vehicle's catalytic converter. At first glance, the room looked pretty nice. Absolutely filthy though ... old food (that my toddler immediately found) between the wall and the couch The tub is peeling badly where they had painted it. Ordered food to take up to the room from the restaurant, and it was room temperature at best. They have a security guard near the only open entrance, but he never seems to move. He certainly was no deterrant to the catalytic converter thief who vandalized my $55k truck rhat still has the temp tags from the dealership. Do yourself a favor and spend the money to stay somewhere nicer ... might save you $6500.
