Sonesta Simply Suites Houston - NASA Clear Lake

This is a solid no-frills motel offering great value. Its dated and short-staffed, but in my several stays, all room amenities worked, the a/c was cold, and the bed was comfortable and clean. Theres coin laundry, a small gym, and a nice gazebo with a propane grill. This part of Clear Lake is very safe. I grew up here. The HPD substation is next door and youre next to a business high-rise and the high school. Tiera at the front desk deserves a raise and recognition for seamlessly checking in two parties at a time, and doing it with a smile. The suites are very spacious and include kitchen dish ware and utensils. Theres tons of places to comfortably work in the room, including a very long dining table/work desk. Dennys and McD next door for food.

Nice place, rooms are clean and well equipped, the only negative thing is that internet is slow and there are shopepes.

Always a pleasant and friendly environment. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful when performing their job. Never have any issues with maintenance. The rooms are always clean and stocked up either amenities. Rooms: Always clean and comfortable. Safety: HPD station near by. Ive never felt unsafe before.

My biggest complaint on this is what is on their member information, and what they actually offer are very different. The place itself is nice enough, the room is clean, but the front desk service needs a lot of improvement. They don't seem to know how to do a whole lot, and they definitely don't know all the supposed "perks" for being a member of Sonesta. BUT- They are super friendly and try their best with the knowledge they have. They really should train their employees better. If you are looking for a clean, no frills place for a long-term stay, this will definitely do for a much cheaper option. Just don't expect too much and it will be good. Also- for staff. Please put people with kids on the first floor. Some parents are clueless on how to control kids. Our upstairs neighbors stopped, jumped of the bed, and ran literally non-stop. From morning until late into the night, it never ended! Rooms: The rooms are clean but could use some updating. They are comfortable enough. The kitchen could definitely use a little more space countertop wise. When you're staying 3 weeks and cooking all your meals, it would be a bit nicer. But overall it worked fine.
