Embassy Suites by Hilton Houston West - Katy

My experience with this hotel was not good. I was in town for a meeting so I booked a room for M-Th. Tuesday morning we found out the meeting was going to be much shorter than expected so I planned on checking out Tuesday morning using my Hilton Honors App on my phone. Well who knew that button doesnt actually work? When I tried to work with the hotel to refund the two unused nights they gave me a refund for one night but not both nights saying it is my responsibility to stop at the front desk to check out and get a receipt. What is the point of having the Hilton Honors App and being a Diamond Member many times over if the whole thing does not work? Why put that button on the app to check out? If I have the app, why would it even cross my mind to go by the front desk? Very disappointing stay at what is typically a flagship brand for Hilton

Had a couple drinks at bat but bartender was rude, kinda racist, didnt want to interact with us, but with other people he was way so friendly not friendly at all and he asked us to reuse same drink cup for all drinks he said they didnt have more cups, and it was plastic cup

The hotel is no where worth its 3 stars, housekeeping and front desk lack professionalism and attention to detail. The room had more long hairs on the floor than a stylist. The decor and furnishings are as best a Manger without the little drummer boy. Extremely disappointing and not worth the price... not at all. Rooms: Rooms are aged furniture is old and uncomfortable. Very filthy due to poor housekeeping. Nearby activities: Hotel was under seize... bus dwellers and dogs... floors hadn't seen cleaned since Covid. Food & drinks: The last visit was filth and dirty floors... can't eat where it's too dirty to walk. Noteworthy details: Great location just needs an improvement in the staff consistency!!! Time for a shake up in the management... it sucks.
