Hotel Indigo Houston at the Galleria, an IHG Hotel

Hotel was nice and clean, room was nice and updated. Staff was great.

I requested late check out by phone the day I arrived & I was told there would be no problem. On the day of check out the maids tried to come in my room multiple times. Thankfully I had the latch on the door & they were unable to enter but it’s very unprofessional to continually try to enter someone’s room without permission and never knock or simply ask if I’m still in the room, no words were said at all. The front desk finally called me after multiple attempts of trying to enter my room without my permission and was very rude on the phone. I informed her I requested late check out & it seemed like she did not believe me. I’ve stayed at this hotel multiple times & have never had a bad experience like this one. Sadly I won’t be returning.

The Hotel is not to be seen from the street so one needs GPS to find it if not familiar with it. But it is a hidden Gem. A combination of hospitality and contemporary art throughout, but not over done. The kitchen is more prep, than cuisine oriented but in the middle of the Galleria is not really am issue. And it bodes well for the convenience of eating in. Having said that there is always room for improvement. For example there was a used coffee filter in the in room coffee pot. ☕ a definite turn off during COVID.
