Good morning Ms. Murphy Morgan, we sincerely apologize for the anxiety that the trimming of this tree caused to you. Unfortunately, we were required to trim it to get the branches back from the new home at the new owners request. When possible we always try to account for saving trees around our projects. We have moved homes back, curved driveways, and used building materials more conducive to tree root protection in lieu of concrete. We do care about saving trees whenever we can. Trees make our homes and our neighborhoods more appealing. We plant new trees at all of our projects and for every home that we sell we make a donation to plant new trees in an area of need. We genuinely do care about preserving trees whenever possible. While it will not bring these trimmed tree branches back, we have made a donation to one tree planted to plant 500 new trees in your name. We also left a handwritten note at your home with the receipt as proof of doing so. We hope this gesture goes to show our commitment to responsible building and the neighborhoods that we build in and that you will consider revising your review.

Good morning sir, we sincerely apologize for what you describe as a nightmare experience with our team. This is not typical as we have hundreds of happy homeowners but we will use this experience to improve our customer service. We are disappointed that we did not meet your expectations. Our sales team negotiated the purchase of your new home when it was quite far along in construction with purchase orders issued for selections. At that time, we were informed that the only change you desired was to the wood floors. When you had your meeting with our design team we were taken by surprise when there was a long list of other changes desired as well. We then informed you that because all of the selections for the home had been purchased, there would be a restocking fee to return them. After you expressed your displeasure with that information, we elected to cover the cost of the restocking fees ourselves. Because the home was put under contract while still under construction, our contract only provides an estimated closing date. Schedules change regularly during construction. Not long ago, we informed you that we needed to gather some more information from the project foreman and we would get back to you as soon as we could provide hard details for the final closing date. There has not been a single time that an email went without a response for a week. The only time an email went without a response was your email on Friday January 12th and we did not respond to that email that day as we were hoping to have a response back from our field crew with concrete information which we did not get. We should have responded before the weekend even if we did not have a firm update and apologize for not doing so. We did respond to your email on January 16th even though our office was closed for MLK day on the 15th and we gave our staff the 16th off due to the inclement weather. We apologize for this response time. We regret that you were dissatisfied with our pricing for the upgrades on your home. We believe our pricing is fair, transparent, and in line with our competition. We are sorry for the issue involving your loan but there is the risk when purchasing a home that is not yet complete that rates may change. However, mortgage rates have dropped to seven-month lows so hopefully you can get a stronger rate now than previously. When we were told by you to provide a nearly $4000 credit to your home or you would post negative reviews about our company all over social media and the internet we felt as though we were being strong armed even though the possibility of delays is clearly outlined in the purchase agreement. At your last request just yesterday that you would change your 1 star review to a 5 star review that would go out to your 70k followers if we paid you the nearly $4000 credit, we again felt like we were essentially being strong armed for a 5 star review. This is not how we like to run our business and it is clear that you are dissatisfied with our service. Given that, we have elected to refund all of your funds including your nonrefundable deposit plus other fees outlined in your purchase agreement so that you can elect to purchase a home from a builder that you feel would be a better fit for you. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and dissatisfaction you have felt and wish you well on your home buying journey.
