I am disabled and reached out to Healthways about the Ticket to Work program after being referred to them by the SSA. Dr. Lowery contacted me and was very curt and rude from the start. He seemed to be only interested in getting paid as soon as possible and not actually working with me. During the two weeks working with him, which amounted to 3 phone calls, he explained very little and gave no information on how the program worked. On the first call he asked me only to submit numerous forms, submit earnings records, my ID, resume, and other SSA paperwork. On the second call he wanted to enroll me in the program immediately. I was hesitant as I did not know anything about the program yet and stated this, to which he answered very rudely that we had already talked about this, which we absolutely hadn't, and suggested I had simply forgotten. I explained to him tht we did not and my desire to know more about the program but he said that he would simply end the call so I could 'think' about it, still having given me no information. On the third and final call he stated that he did a transferable skills analysis without even involving me in the process and informed me that he would not be able to help me, and I should go elsewhere. I would never suggest Healthways or Dr. Lowery to anyone seeking actual help getting back to work.

Struggling with a disability and a conviction made it hard for me to find a job. The staff made it clear of what was expected of me and I was told that if I truly wanted help they would help. Our first meeting was in 2014. I was able to secure employment with the help of Healthways Services and start school. I received my AA from Houston Community College in 2016. I received my BSW from UHD in 2018, and I just finished my MSW from Stephen F. Austin this year. If you truly want help this organization will go above and beyond to help you achieve all of your goals. Thank you Dr. Lowery for all the work you put into me and the time. You are a true blessing.

Tried calling to see about their ticket to work program. The main doctor, Christopher Lowery, was very rude when I called. He made me feel like i was useless and didn't want to offer his services. There was no reason for that. I do not recommend dealing with such a guy.

I am extremely happy with the services provided by Dr. Christopher Lowery at the Houston office Dr. Lowery has given me the tools to navigate the sometimes confusing Ticket to Work Program with ease and knowledge. I feel empowered knowing what my rights and obligations are to make the program run smoothly. Dr Lowery's method of explanation allows the client a better understanding of how the program works and what their responsibility is so they may become successful. Thank you for all that you do..
