Approximately four years ago, I subscribed to Republic's waste management services, expecting a straightforward and reliable service. However, my experience has been anything but satisfactory. When I moved to a different address in a different state, I promptly informed the company of my relocation and requested to cancel my subscription. Despite being told by the management that my account was closed, I was surprised to find that the billing and services continued. On following up, I was informed that my subscription would still go on for another two months due to a clause in the contract. As a customer, it's unreasonable to expect me to scrutinize the contract daily. The lack of flexibility and understanding shown by Republic, especially considering a significant life change like moving states, is highly disappointing. This inflexibility and the ensuing hassle have led to a frustrating experience, one that I feel others should be wary of. Please pay close attention to this company and your contract. Don't fall into the situation I fell into.

I've been using Republic Services for about 19 months now at a 155,000 sq ft commercial property in City of S. Houston. I manage about 450,000 sq ft of commercial space, and use numerous trash companies at the various properties. This is truly the worst company I've ever dealt with. They nickle and dime customers to death with their "overage charges". Basically if there's *anything whatsoever* over the top of the container, Republic charges an exorbitant fee every. single. time. And they will not work with you. And if the container is well *below* full, does Republic give you a credit, since they're picking up less trash than they contracted for? Absolutely not. It's a 1 - way street, that can only ever result in the bill being higher than the customer expects. The only reason we're stuck with Republic is because City of S. Houston has an incestuous relationship with Republic whereby Republic kicks the City back a significant monthly "franchise fee", and then Republic gets exclusive rights to service every commercial property, completely against the wishes of many of the property owners. Do not ever use this company, I promise you'll regret it. - Jared Pinto

Worst experience and company ever. I have been calling, emailing and trying to contact them for 4 months and they are still billing me after i moved from that location where i had the contract, i sent the documents proving i was moving and that i had trash service complimentary at my new location so i didnt need to relocate their container, i have paid more than $800 in a service i am not using and now that my contract finally expired i am trying to contact them to let them know I DONT WANT TO RENEW and they still dont get back to me because as the scammers they are, they will renew automatically if you dont notify with time. Well , its impossible to talk to them
