Got the run around for 5 months only to be told they only help people that are affected by COVID.

My spoke to a Rep on 07/25. Rep asks me if what water company I use a water company in harries county and they had no funding for that county, but for H02 innovation in spring they did have funding. I was told no more appointments were available, so she put me on hold to talk to her manager about an appointment. My appt was set for 9:30 07/26/23. Rep calls me this morning ask me the basic question. Then said she need to sign a document for me and ask me if anyone had Covid-19 the pass year in my household I told her know so the rep said did not qualify because no one had covid-19. I ask what dose covid-19 has to do with getting assistance. I was not told about covid on the day before to apply. I would like this review because either they are lying are someone does not know what they are talking about. I was told 2 different things.

My first experience her was kind of bitter sweet. I woke up at 7:30 just to be on the phone for 8 am. Got an appointment showed up and bring everything they asked and got turned around because they forgot to tell me to bring one document and my lights were due to be disconnected the next day.
The office is mostly made up of Mexicans and luckily enough there was a black lady there working for fema who saw them turn me around and she asked me why I wasnt serviced it let her know and she who was very well educated and professional got up from her post went over to the window and spoke to the receptionist who seemed to give her attitude and tell her she could speak with her manager. The manager came from the front and the professional black woman told her that I had the document they needed and all they had to do was allow me to send it via email and they could print it off since my lights were to be disconnected the next day I was there with my two children. The manager agreed and I got my lights paid thank god for the professional black woman who took a stand for me!

I dont understand why it take 45 days just to get appointment for food stamps and medical for my kids smh
