DAMAGED MY CAR AND HAD NO REMORSE Took my car there to get the windshield replaced on Friday and they placed masking tape on the car to help secure the windshield. I took the tape off on Sunday night and it began to remove the paint from my car. I called the shop to tell them about it and ask if there was a way to remove it safely. Before I can finish my statement, the guy on the phone ask if my car was white. I said yes. He then stated that apparently white cars don't have enough primer and it is suspectible to peeling especially with the tape. I then asked him if there was a way for them to remove the tape safely and he just repeated his spiel. So I told him "why didn't you guys have a disclaimer about the tape possibly taking off the paint??" He told me "we don't have to disclaim anything." I hung up. I am filing a report with the Better Business Bureau and seeing what else can possibly be done. Whatever happened to human decency??? It costs nothing to give a warning that this may happen to white cars. They didnt even offer to try to remove it to minimize. I wasnt trying to demand for a new paint job or for reimbursement. I was being reasonable and ask if they could remove it with heat or something. Now my car is ruined. This business dont care about their customers.
