Appointment was scheduled for 9:45am, insurance and all necessary information was given on Monday when the appointment was scheduled. The garage ticket shows that I showed up for 9:24am. The young, Black girl at the front desk provided my consents and that was around 9:35-9:38am. She wasn’t very professional. I watched her treat non-Black people with respect and dignity. She was also assisting them with their needs. During my and my kid’s first time here she was dismissive, didn’t read consents nor did she go over the COVID Evaluation with me. There were several people at the front desk snotting, sneezing, sitting in chairs arm-to-arm near each other. Meanwhile, as a non-confrontational, punctual first time patient, my time, commute, health, resources and patience was not respected. It’s day 21 since I had suffered with COVID and finally when I am not showing positive anymore I come for help with a sinus infection and get medically neglected, because of an egotistical person. Then, I left out the building preparing to leave not wanting to approach the desk, where several patients (sneezing, coughing phlegm, and snotting their noses on Kleenex were) to come to my car to call and see when my 9:45am slot (since it is 10:21am) at the time of the call will be filled with me in it. The same voice who was not compassionate, dismissive was the voice heard on the phone. The lady identified as “Shay.” She spoke over me (concerned patient sharing concerns) about the wait time. My concern was because of the abundance of people that filled the place immediately after my kid and I had already been waiting in the lobby before the influx of guests, who got priority treatment. The young lady spoke over me without empathy when I explained that I was sitting in my car due to the risk of exposure. I didn’t get a remedy, but here I am having to drive back to the suburbs about 45 minutes away and pay $7-10 for the parking, although I didn’t get a remedy for the issue I came for because I was invalidated and dismissed. The person who the call was escalated to also invalided the experience but agreed with some things, and when she thought she disconnected the call she was talking to background staff saying “I don’t do well with race bro” after I told her how I felt I was receiving disparate treatment. You know what though, I am usually pretty blessed, so there will be light at the end of the tunnel. No, I don’t want to reschedule, because for the few times in my life, I was on time for this appointment and was still treated like this and the higher level staff said even the doctor cancelled on this appointment. This same appointment I’ve been at and not left. Didn’t no one call my name, state anything to my person, nor approach me after check-in and consents to place many minutes before my appointment. The staff were argumentative towards me saying I checked in at 10:09am. I explained my time on my parking ticket (9:24am) and the time I sat down and sent a text while in there (9:36am-9:40a) and asked if the assessment and informed consent paperwork is required before check-in, because if so, the staff checked me in at 10:09am. Even so, I’ve sat outside for 20 minutes on the phone with them while they were dropping the appointment and not taking accountability. I’ll go ahead and stay cheerful, exit the parking garage, and keep smiling. I’ll finally get my kid and I some breakfast and prepare for clients, while searching for other ENT providers. There was a doctor available in Humble, but if you live in the suburbs you can imagine how far that could be, but that doctor had great ratings. I guess I’ll check that out. Thanks for tuning in guys. Have a blessed Wednesday!! I am hopeful that my sinuitis goes away and that I can smell and taste and get beyond dizziness and facial pressure. 😉😊. #GodIsStillGood

Dr. Bressler with Houston Methodist ENT did my surgery and I cannot recommend him enough. From initial consultation through post op follow up, I really felt taken care of and that he and his staff really care deeply for their patients. His office staff was excellent, quick to respond and easy to communicate with through MyChart. I was extremely happy with my results and was happy with the care I received from Dr. Bressler and his team.

Great Experience! The staff and Dr. Bressler make you feel like your child is the only patient they see that day. He did a great job with my daughter. Everything about the procedure was easy to deal with and the folo-up has been a pleasure. The improvement , post surgery, has been more than we hoped for.
