Dawn, I’m sorry that you felt this way on our last visit when you had given us a 5 star review on our previous visit. I spoke to our technician, Andy, about this visit and reviewed the pictures of the current state of your system. It sounds like a previous company charged you to clean your coil but didn’t seal off the base of the closet that feeds into the system so it’s pulling in a bunch of dust, which is why your coil has gotten as dirty as it did so quickly. As I understand it, Andy was explaining that not all companies are as thorough or have as good of workmanship and you paid for a coil cleaning with the past company and now need another deep coil cleaning. It’s bad enough now that the coil would need to get removed to get cleaned properly enough, then the gaps that dust is being pulled in from would need to get sealed. We do our maintenance visits to make sure the system is running up to manufacturers specs and give people recommendations whether they’d like to hear them or not so they’re at least made aware of the problem. I know you called in and spoke to Mike about canceling your membership and he offered for us to assign a different tech moving forward and you hung up mid-sentence on him on our recorded calls. I’m incredibly sorry you didn’t have the experience you were hoping for but we have to make people aware of issues with their system whether they want to hear them or not. We’re not just looking to make money on something like that but help you get your system to last longer. If you leave your system in the state that it’s in, it will fail faster, have higher power bills, and you’ll have ultimately paid much more than what we quoted to repair it. I wish you the best of luck with another company but I’m glad we at least made you aware of a real issue.
