        I called the morning of my appt. to make sure that coming out to check the problem and get an estimate was free, she said yes! That is not the case. The fix was easy, a small clogged in pipe/connector that goes into tankless water heater and was told we could do it ourself ($10-$20 part) but tech insisted that he should do it since he was already there and had to charge us for something. He mentioned if service was not performed by Roto-Rooter, I would be charged a $250 diagnostic fee for him figuring out the issue. Yes, tech was nice, professional and problem was fixed but this is a very deceptive practice. Being charged over $100 for a $10 part and 2 minutes of work literally (remove/replace connector) is not worth it, should have just done it ourself by doing more research and never called.
