I just bought a new house and used Protex to install a sprinkler system and landscape plants in my front yard and a xeriscape in my back yard. They were recommended by my realtor. Ricky, one of their supervisors came out to survey my yard and get my ideas for the job. He came back with a detailed estimate broken down into tasks and supplies with associated pricing. The crew did a great job and I am very happy with the finished product. During the job Ricky texted me every day regarding what to expect and when the crew would be working so I could plan accordingly. They cleaned up after the job was finished and took away all of the debris.

Lucky to have found this company using Google maps for our local area in Edinburg. Since I personally did not know anyone that had used them, i had to rely strictly on their reviews online (thus the importance of reviews). Ricky's name showed up on most of the reviews, and all of them were excellent reviews. And, Ricky lived up to those revies superbly. He did excellent work. Gave great useful advice, and was punctual. But my best praise is reserved for his responsiveness. He responded quickly to my initial call, like within a few minutes. They kept me updated by text regularly and frequently on the service dates, and when adjustments to the date needed to be made due to weather. That was the main issue with my previous sprinkler company. They would take days to get back to my call, and they only did so after having to make several calls. I always felt like I was bothering them, and it made me feel like I was a burden. The funny thing is they did really good work too, but it was just feeling like a burden to them that just did not sit well that made me decide to look for someone else. Ricky, on the other hand, was extremely responsive, friendly, even proactively responsive along with also being very curteous, and kind. I made one call the initial call Thereafter Ricky kept reminding me of the time and date, and if they needed to adjust due to weather. I only needed to confirm. I never once had to call again when they could come out. This was such a welcomed relief. In terms of cost, affordable (not the cheapest - but also not wildly expensive). Reviewing my previous receipts well within the ranges of what my other company was charging for similar service. My services when my srinklers have needed re-wiring with valves replaced, and leaks to the below ground tubing fixed (not sprinkler heads, that I can do myself) has been b/w $300 - 500. My sprinkles system was placed in 2004. Keep in mind there will be two dates. The first one is for figuring out what the problem is, and giving an estimate on the cost. And the second visit is for the actual work and completion of the service. This gives you time to budget or decide on your options. I will be calling Ricky from now on.
