    On hold for over an hour. They hung up on me as soon as they "answered". By the time I was able to get through to them again it was after hours and the person on the phone said there wasn't anything they could do. I also wanted to mention Ive filled out numerous customer service forms and emails over the past week. None of them have been responded to.

    Communication with AHP is next to impossible. I called and left messages for weeks without any answer or returned calls. Extremely frustrating.

    At this point I don't know what to do. I have called them half a million times and no one will answer. I gave up after being on hold for 45 minutes once. They are refusing to send the dependents information on to our PPO network and as a result we are being told we have no coverage despite the fact we paid in full on January 1. Normally, I am a patient person but this is getting ridiculous. Maybe they'll actually reach out to me after they see this review. Worth a shot.

    Keep denying my waiver with no real explanation as to why even though I have had insurance for 20 years with no problems the previous semesters. They asked for a letter of coverage to prove that it is long term insurance which I did and it was still denied.

    I rarely write negative reviews, however, AHP is incredibly difficult to work with and has significant issues with communication. The company has repeatedly failed to send routine notifications to myself and other students in my program (e.g. notifications that waivers must be renewed or have been denied), and does not provide students with the necessary information to ensure that submitted waivers are reviewed and approved. For example, AFP did not notify many students in my program that new waivers were required for the summer semester (despite us having active waivers less than 1 year old), and instead sent us notifications informing us that we were being enrolled in health insurance, despite having other coverage. When I submitted a waiver to illustrate that I have health insurance, the waiver languished for weeks with no action until I called the company, only to be informed that they needed me to re-submit information (which was not communicated via email or on their dashboard). The representative that I spoke to then had a difficult time finding my waiver, and requested information that I had never received. This has been a very frustrating (ongoing) progress, and - were I not required to do so by my academic institution - I would not feel comfortable sharing any personal information with such a disorganized organization.
