My son with autism came here half-days and the other half were spent at public school receiving services. He was struggling in so many areas, but this was the PERFECT place for him. So organized and just what he needed to help him progress. I am so thankful we were directed to Blue Ivey!

My 5 year old daughter has been at Blue Ivey for two years give or take. I am very much a nervous parent and the thought of trusting anyone with my child scared me to death. After two years, I trust this school and her teachers as much as I trust her own father. They have been incredible to her and she loves going to school. She has some level of neurodiversity (adhd or autism, unsure of which) and struggles with sensory issues. They have accommodated her and they make sure she is comfortable. They also taught her how to potty train, something we have struggled with greatly at home. I cannot thank the teachers enough for how much theyve done for her.
My only mild complaint is that theyve used religious based practices, like saying grace and such. Although theyve told us that she is never forced into doing such things, shes 5 and she will repeat what is going on around her. We arent a religious family and I have never wanted to force any religion on my child. I want her to make that choice for herself when she is capable of understanding. I cant deduct any stars from my rating for this because everything else outweighs this minor thing but I would love it if the teachers could be a little more diverse. Not everyone is Christian or catholic. Theres so many religions out there and I feel like my daughter isnt the only child from a non Christian/catholic/Abrahamic religion family.
Otherwise, shes had a very amazing experience and I plan to keep her in this school as long as she is capable.

I have been in childcare for over 10 years. When I interviewed for a teaching position here, I was also looking to put my 2 year old in care as well.

This is the best school so far, our son attended this place pre-COVID, our son loved and enjoyed immediately after he started, it was amazing to see after my son cried for a year and half at the previous school. It was worth waiting for them to be available for my son.Teachers were very supportive, gave us suggestions and helped our sons development. The office staff knew our cars so they called our son as soon as I turn into the driveway and he was ready to come out when we park the car, we didn't wait to pick up our son. We enjoyed attending every events like the open school, grandparents day, and Christmas, not only to see my son but others growth.What we liked was their menu too, they had fish day. They care what nutrients to give children too.We were sad to leave this school.
