The first thing that comes to my mind about tigersun martial arts is the instructor who teaches my son. He is a perfect example of how an instructor should be. Very calm, gentle and experienced. My son loves learning martial arts at this place.

Very happy we found Tiger Sun Martial Arts! My six year old son has noticeability improved with his self-esteem, confidence, and concentration. He is proud of his progress and achievements. The teacher is very good with the kids and keeping expectations clear. Highly recommend for any age!

Pros: 1. Instructor Leo is a good teacher for young kids. 2. The martial arts studio is nice.
Cons: 1. Classes will be canceled with minimal notice for bogus reasons with makeup times impossible to use. For example, the owner (Master Park) decided to cancel two days of classes at the last minute for he and his instructors to attend a Tony Robbins motivational seminar. And gave makeup time on a day during the following week when parents would have to take off work to use. Park also decided to close the school for a week in December without any makeup times (or billing credit). 2. It should take 5-6 years to earn a black belt in TKD going 2-3 times weekly and practicing. However, it appears based on information obtained without Tiger Sun's cooperation that it will take 10+ years to earn a black belt. The system is designed to maximize income while simultaneously promoting fewer students as potential competition as instructors. 3. The dealbreaker for us was lack of respect. We prepaid for a one-year membership. As it came close to time to renew, we repeatedly asked for information about progressing and renewal options. We were repeatedly lied to (e.g., Master Park will call you on Thursday -- he never did). The week the membership expired, Master Park texted to say he would be at the next class to explain everything and answer our questions. He no-showed but did apologize later by text message after we canceled membership.
