    I had a great experience with this agency when I purchased my Auto, Home and Umbrella policies. However, when it came time for renewal my experience was horrible! I attempted to contact Rob half a dozen times via email and voicemail with no response. After over a month of no contact, my husband and I sent multiple emails requesting our policies be canceled. The renewals for our policies contained several items we wanted changed, and no one responded to discuss these changes and our options. I have since learned Farmers Insurance no longer provides a 1% home deductible. It has increased to 1.5% or 2%. Beware, the agents will attempt to sell you the product as the annual premium is decreased, but your deductible responsible is 1.5-2x higher if you need to use your policy. One agent in the office tried to tell me the "industry" was moving to all 1.5-2% deductibles. I shopped around and this is not the case. There are several insurance companies who still offer 1% deductibles. I have since switched companies, have the same coverage and was able to keep my 1% deductible. Unfortunately, due to the above stated reasons I would not recommend this agency or insurance company. With regard to the owner's response, I was given the same excuse of being on vacation when I was eventually able to get ahold of him, after having reached out over half a dozen times via emails and voicemails. Rob, it was 5 weeks between when I initially reached out to your office and when I was able to speak with you. I have a hard time believing you were on "vacation" for 5 weeks. Your office staff did not address my concerns regarding the policies for renewal. Your assistant gave 1 statement regarding the deductible changing. My questions for renewal included both my auto and homeowner's policies. When people make mistakes the professional way to handle it is to own those mistakes and apologize, not make excuses.

Hello Amanda, I'm sorry you had a bad experience. Thank you for being a great customer and just realize that sometimes I take a vacation and during that vacation I don't return emails. My staff was able to discuss the items while I was gone and unfortunately the deductible change was not something that you agreed with. I totally understand your wanting to switch and keep the 1% deductible. Fortunately, we do cover hail claims at Replacement Cost including all the metals and vents and flashings. We all have choices when we shop for coverage and I do appreciate you being with us for the past few years. Rob Johnson
