Sterling McCall Lexus Clear Lake

I purchased a used car from Sterling McCall in May and had the car shipped to my home state. The dealership made the process simple and my sales associate John, overall was excellent. The reason for a 3-star vs 5-star review is due to the car arriving with one key fob, which was not stated in the listing. When I first contacted the dealership, I was told that the previous owner had only delivered one key. I was able to locate the previous owner through FB Messenger, and she stated that the dealership specifically contacted her and asked for the additional key two days after she traded in the car, which she delivered to the dealership immediately. When I followed up with John, he diverted the blame to Sterling McCall Toyota where the car was originally traded-in and said he would check with them. Two months later, I've received no follow up, nor the additional key fob. New key fobs cost several hundred dollars, including programming. My guess is Sterling McCall (whether SM Toyota or SM Lexus) resold the key to another customer since there is currently a shortage of key fobs. This may seem like a minor issue, but it's the little things that you expect to be handled well, when you pay a premium price at a Lexus dealership. In this case Sterling McCall Lexus has not met the mark of Lexus service. I will change this review if Sterling McCall ever corrects the situation. If you're still reading this sentence, you may assume that regardless of the dealership's reply to this review, nothing of substance has changed.
