    I was referred to Mr. Wilson by a mutual friend due to some tax issues that we were having. Mr. Wilson was kind enough to take the time to listen to our situation at hand. Not only did he explain in detail what had happened in terms that we could understand, he also explained what needed to be done to correct the problem. I would highly recommend Me. Wilson to anyone that is experiencing tax issues regarding the IRS.

    I am so heartbroken with this experience. I had an original appointment 3/30/22 @ 2 p.m. with Charlie to discuss obtaining a personal financial review required by TWC for my start-up training program. Charlie informed me he was accepting new clients. After reviewing my personal documents containing assets and liabilities, he stated I was in good financial shape to meet the requirements. I was informed I would hear back the following Monday, but never received a call. I presumed he was still verifying the information I provided in my documents with the financial creditors and institutions. I called bank the 2nd week of April regarding an update since I needed this document to submit with my TWC application for certificate of approval to start this training program. I was informed by the front desk clerk Sandy, Charlie would call me back. I never received a call. I went yesterday without an appointment, but could not be seen due to his bookings at the time. Sandy scheduled me for an appt. this morning at 9 a.m. I went in, and it was like an original consultation appt. Nothing was done! Charlie then informed me he could not do a reviewed personal financial statement only a compilation report of my personal financials which is not what was originally discussed in March. TWC wants a reviewed financial report. I presented these documents stating this in March, and he stated he could perform the service requested. Now, I've wasted a month and a half trying to get this report to accompany my application to no avail. My dreams have been crushed. I'm so heartbroken . It took me a while to find a licensed local CPA to help me. I don't know why he did this to me, but by the Grace of GOD; I forgive Charles Wilson and Sandy.

    Last year was great, this year was nothing but stress and silence. Communication was lacking when I inquired abut the status of my return 2 weeks before tax day and we didn't receive our completed forms until April 14th (but were dated for 4-12-22) and had no time to transfer funds to pay electronically. I told them Thursday that I would mail the check on my way to work Monday to be sure it was stamped in time. They sent me a voucher to mail with it just before 1PM, after I'd mailed it 6 hours earlier to an incorrect address, I found out. The documents were sent to them in March and it was a simple return. I got no calls or emails indicating they were behind or needed more information. I don't know if they would have finished it if I hadn't called them after no email response a week before Dday. This is the most we have ever paid for the worst tax service.

L.Praylor was seeking assistance in obtaining a report that she could provide to a State agency. She asked if we prepared reviewed reports. She was informed that we do reviews. We have never prepared an audit or reviewed report. However, we will prepare compiled reports.The instructions stated that compiled reports are acceptable. We reviewed the instructions during the initial meeting.Once the compiled report was completed, it was reviewed and discussed with L.Praylor. The compiled report states what it is supposed to state. L.Praylor meeting with the State agency is the one that would provide the narrative with the report. The report states numbers, good or bad. L.Praylor provides to story to the numbers.The report was completed but she choose not to accept it.

The 2021 tax filing season was interesting and challenging. The past two years, because of Covid and the TX Winter Storm, the personal deadlines for filing a tax return were pushed out to July 15th for 2019 and June 15th for 2020 returns. For 2021, the April deadline was a real deadline this year. However, people were out of practice of gathering and getting their information to us on a timely basis. Three/three-a-half weeks prior to the deadline, we had a rush of information provided. We anticipated to a certain extent by having two additional headcount from last year. This was still not enough. We processed 30% more than the previous year. Saying all this, we did not achieve our goal of communicating with clients and keeping them informed of their status to the level we had hoped.There was nothing about this year or the last two years that made a return a simple return. You had to account for stimulus money, advance child tax credit, EDIL, ERC, PPP, unemployment, etc. We had to inquiry, chase, and/or try and document whether such items applied or not.M.Kent received her return for review and comments on Thursday, Apr 14th. The due date was Monday, Apr 18th. Friday, Apr 15th was not a Federal holiday so banks were open Friday and Saturday, as normal. The due date was not Apr 15th because Washington DC celebrates Emancipation Day. Since the IRS is based or HQ’d in DC, the IRS celebrated Emancipation Day. There was sufficient time to allow the ACH payment with the tax return to be efiled (the same process as the previous year).When the payment process wass changed, we have to change what was reported on the tax return. The ACH payment with the return would have been timely submitted to the IRS. However, M.Kent choose to go a different method of payment.With regard to fees, we informed our clients back in January that fees would increase 10% or so. M.Kent received her email on Jan 16th. She used this email to reply. There should have been no surprise regarding the fee.We did not achieve our goal of communicating with M.Kent nor of keeping her informed to the level she expected. We take her comments seriously and will work on implementing procedures to minimize and reduce events such as hers in the future.
