Marilyn's of Fredericksburg

I was in Fredericksburg a couple months ago and purchased a beautiful dress for Easter, and also purchased some cute gauze pants and a top. I couldn’t be more pleased with the quality and got so many compliments! Carroll was so good and followed up with me and I even ordered something via the mail from her. Every time I visit Fredericksburg, I look forward to going to Maryland. It’s one of the highlights of my visit I love their clothes, and the quality of them as well.

I went in purchased a beautiful hat and dress, The owner was a wonderful and fun lady to deal with. She was very helpful and courteous. There were. lots of beautiful items to choose from in the store.

"Old school" is the phrase here. Marilyn's is fantastic. Great women's clothing and home to beautiful embroidered "Mexican" dresses. Her hours are sporadic and the last time I was there she still didn't accept debit or credit cards (although this may have finally changed), but don't worry there is an ATM just down the block. If she is open it's worth a stop!

Is this store EVER OPEN? I have been by here numerous times and it is never open. there are no store hours listed on the door or their website. I don't want to order online because I'm afraid I would never get my order...What gives?

Very disappointed in Marilyns customer service. I bought a dress few weeks ago while I was on vacation. Once I got home and studied the dress more carefully I noticed it look like it had been worn, it was pilly in a few places. My first few calls to the store went to voice mail, I finally left a message and she never returned my call. I finally spoke to her today and she basically called me a liar and said that it was not like that when I bought it and I must have worn it. I told her I never had the chance to wear it because it was too long and I was going to have it altered but wanted to talk to her first. She then told me she did not deal with that designer any longer, has been in business for 26 years and never had a problem . I then asked her if I could send her some photos of the dress and she said no. After more of the same defensive and acusitory conversation she said to mail the dress back to her and she would determine if it was damaged before it left the store. Of course she is going to continue to acuss me and now I have no trust in her. I am now dealing with the Joseph Ribkoff company directly. I will never step foot it that store again. If you do then check out the condition of your item carefully because once you leave with it it is yours. P.S. After writing this review yesterday I was putting the belt back on the dress I noticed someone added a hole to the belt! It is obvious that it was not a factory hole and added by someone. Really, this tell me someone wore this dress and returned.
