    The management of this company is not handled correctly. First of all we were asked to put $1000 check towards the deductible of our insurance. They would hold it until they got word from the insurance company. Then they insisted on depositing the check while we were waiting. They sent an entire crew out for the initial consult. It should have only been their crew mgt to assess the situation. Then sent another entire crew out a week later for no reason! We hadnt received approval from the insurance yet. Then they insisted that we pay for these two crews that came out because they had to pay them!.. and they used our thousand dollar State Farm deductible check as collateral. Therefore, they only refunded me $400. Insurance never approved the damage. We had to pay for it all ourselves so that $600 was thrown out the window for no reason other than their mismanagement of sending out their crews to stand around chatting! They are not honest. The guy knew when he asked for my check that it would be used for their deposit, yet he portrayed it as the Insurance deductible!

    From day one, Todd was on top of everything. He moved his crew in and out of the house very effectively to mitigate the water damage we encountered when a water pipe busted in the middle of the night. They were all VERY professional y communicated well to set clear expectations and follow through as promised. We could have not asked for a better company to help us in such a difficult time. Lancaster Family, in the spirit of transparency, please review your 11/20/23 text exchange regarding this matter:DL: Please refund our $1000 ... we are working on this end with another company due to this insurance stuff. I appreciate your help. Thank youKat3: Ok thank you for the update.There will be a service charge deducted for the equipment set up and take down. As a courtesy, we will not deduct for the daily equipment rental fees or the additional trip charge.DL: How much of a service charge?Kat3: Around $400.DL: Come on really! You guys drove out here put up a couple fans and left. The plumbers asked you to come out here. I feel like $100 is sufficient.Kat3: Your invoice will be itemized with standard item pricing. There were 4 trips made to your home, including one with a full crew prepared to start your work as scheduled, and they were then turned away without explanation. We had to pay those employees all 4 times, and fuel the fleet. $1,000 doesn’t even cover half of our overhead costs of this… we are losing money as a result of disingenuous information, and still generously not charging you a full bill…DL: I don't mean to be ungrateful. Why did they come four times anyway? We still hadn't received the insurance money and I don't remember them coming four times ...that doesn't mean they didn't. What did they do with the four times they came out here?? Why would you send cruise out here when there was no work to be done and no approval yet that doesn't seem like that's my problem.What I'm trying to say is the communication was not with the person paying the bill ...which is me. After the first day, no one should've come again until the insurance company tookcare of things. The equipment should've never been left when you didn't have the OK from the insurance company. That seems like mismanagement on your end. I would say you guys put the cart before the horse and I'm not gonna be the one to pay the bill for it.Kat3: The first time was on 10/25 and was an assessment, at which time contract was signed and deposited made. This was the only trip referred by your plumber. Once a deposit is made and contract signed, we set preliminary equipment and schedule the work to begin, as is standard industry practice.As we work in the damage mitigation sector, our work is never contingent upon waiting for an adjuster. If we did, we would be negligent, and nearly every property would turn to mold, and THAT would in fact be mismanagement. Our job is to act as swiftly as possible to protect the property from further damage (which also happens to be a contractual requirement of you as a policyholder with your insurance carrier- they can deny your claim if you don’t).Your original scheduled start date was 10/30.You then pushed the start date to 11/1.Then when we came on 11/1 as scheduled, the crew was turned away without explanation. Then we obliged your wishes to wait for the adjuster determination, then on 11/10 you opted for no work, then on 11/13 we picked up equipment, then this morning you texted asking for partial work, then you texted that you don’t want anything further…DL: I'm not trying to make an enemy. This has all just been very overwhelming. I do not feel that I owe you the $400. This situation is done. Send me whatever my refund is and let's just forget it and move on. This has been a nightmare! I just wish the insurance want fighting me! That's not your fault.
