        They have a great staff and Dr Mekela is a great doctor. He did my gastric sleeve and he was wonderful. Then I was going to have the bypass because I have bad acid reflux and he was very th through in explaining the surgery and how it worked and then gave me the possible complications.

        I was supposed to have an appointment today 7/21/2023 with Dr. Mekala, well when I showed up for my appointment the receptionist at the front desk said I wouldn't be able to be seen cause I don't have an ID. I have NEVER had an ID and all my other doctors don't have a problem with that. Texas LAW even states that services cannot be denied due to a patient not having an ID. I will be filing a complaint with whomever is the head person where Dr. Mekala works.
