It is so rare to find such a well trained therapist especially in EMDR through the gold standard EMDRIA that also engages the Holy Spirit in the healing journey for her clients. As a functional medicine practitioner, emotional/mental healing is directly related to physical/somatic symptoms. I encourage all my patients to bravely engage the hard parts of their story as a large part of their healing journey.

Hope Harbor is truly amazing. The EMDR therapy I received combined with expert counseling had a dramatic impact on me - I am more decisive and courageous in business, I am more present at home, all of my relationships have improved, with my wife, my sons, and my parents I cannot recommend them to you highly enough. 100% worth every penny.

I cant recommend this establishment highly enough. Its really by chance I found hope harbor, I just googled therapists and only read the info for places that had good really good reviews. I was really weary of switching therapists. However, I was tired of spinning my wheels with insurance recommended therapists. Its hard to get a lot out of therapy when your therapist is overwhelmed with their patient load, and doesnt remember you In-between appointments. Hope harbor had good reviews and upon reviewing the website and reading about each of the therapists specialties it was easy to find who I thought Id fit best with. Everything with the switch has been so seamlessly easy. From filling out an appointment request, to convenient times and easy scheduling. I was contacted and scheduled for my first appointment in less than 24 hours Of my appointment request. The front office staff was on the top of their game. Very prompt and attentive. My therapist Annie is amazing! Im so happy I found her. I really feel like she gets me, and shes as eager for me to start the healing process as I am. Ive learned so much from her in such a short time and its made all the difference. Hope harbor is Well worth the time and investment. 10/10 recommend.

I have had the opportunity to work with Ms. Mara (as I call her) while she was a student and as I was going through a very difficult time in life personally, professionally, and everything in between. Growing up I have worked with many therapists and I know the struggle of starting over every time. With Ms. Mara it was so easy to just peel every layer away so we could get to the REAL problem and then address all of the symptoms. She will adapt the therapy as to what is appropriate for her clients, she will learn anything and ask advice from peers if need be (rarely). Ms. Mara is trained extensively in so many areas and is so well-rounded to help anyone. She is by far my favorite and such an asset not only to the counseling world, but just a great human-being in general. I highly recommend Ms. Mara. Update: I am now successful professionally and personally (self-acceptance) and such which is major growth for someone like me. I owe it to Ms. Mara and her willingness to work with me.
