TownePlace Suites by Marriott Fort Worth University Area/Medical Center

This hotel is pretty new but has a real particle board feel to it. The entryway in each room is very narrow, and I had to change rooms because my refrigerator didn't work. I noticed that a handle to a closet was pulled out and didn't work. However, overall, it is in good shape, and the breakfast is better than usual. What really makes the place stand out is the service. The front desk clerk, Matt, helped me in many ways again and again, and everyone was attentive, cheerful, and responsive. There are two pretty good restaurants within walking distance, a barbecue place and a fish place. The hotel is very close to the botanic garden, the museums, and the zoo.

The team at this hotel did an awesome job. The check-in process was very smooth. There were 2 representatives waiting to serve us at check in. Alex and Christina did an excellent job. Alex helped us several times during our visit. He recognized that I was not getting my points for this reservation so he helped me get this fixed. Ling, the General Manager, came out of her office and greeted us and assisted us during the check in process. This is a nice hotel that is in a nice location. The room has a fridge, microwave, small cooking range and automatic dishwasher. The room is large with plenty of space. The breakfast was ok but could use some improvement. The breakfast does not include pancakes, waffles, or toast. There is a bagel, cereal, eggs and sausage. The last day of breakfast they had wrapped breakfast sandwiches. The pool is small. The workout area is nice with plenty of options. There is plenty of parking as well and it is well lit. This hotel right off the expressway which makes it easy to find. I highly recommend this facility and we will be back. Make sure you ask for Alex.
