As a new resident to Texas I find Kroger to be the closest to the type of stores I shopped in NY. Good prices. Great sales.

I have never reviewed a pharmacy before, but I wanted to take a moment to share my experience with the Kroger Pharmacy on Beach St. At Timberland. My insurance recently changed and the challenges have been exhausting navigating this experience, my medication went from $25 to $748 WITH the Good RX discount. The pharmacists at my local store have been SO helpful, I am especially thankful to Albert one of the pharm techs. I was really worked up over all of my insurance hassles, and was on the verge of tears. He helped me calm down, lightened up my disposition then with the pharmacist they took the time, never making me feel rushed or like I was an inconvenience, simplified the process for me. I wish I remembered the pharmacist name he was so friendly and helpful. (If someone from Kroger is reading this I was there 3/26/24 early evening) My doctor and I decided to try a different medication that would be less expensive for me. While speaking with the pharmacist he realized something about this particular medication that my doctor had not mentioned and pointed out the possibility of a potential issue. And he was right! Its complicated and personal but u will say that if I hadnt been given a heads up I might have ended up in the hospital. So thank you to the staff at my Kroger, I was able to reach out to my prescribing doctor and a replacement prescription was ordered, saving me so much frustration, and potentially serious complications.
