I used Shawn and his team to build a new set of stairs, not just regular stairs but a conversation piece. I showed him my inspiration photos and unlike everyone else I had contacted for a bid, Shawn took the time to really understand what I was trying to achieve with these stairs... modern, open, airy, STURDY, eye-catching design AND within my budget. He isn't just a contractor... He's a creative solution provider. The other contractors who bid on the job took the easy route on the main material (basic oak ) and gave me very expensive bids. Shawn, on the other hand, took the time to research a number of options (even called engineers for a particular material) and came up with a design using non-traditional but very interesting material... And at a very affordable price. Throughout the project, Shawn and his team communicated every step so my husband and I never had to guess what was happening when and how. They were extremely efficient, tidy and cleaned up after themselves. The finished project is a work of art! Every person that enters my home is immediately drawn to the stairs. They are indeed the conversation piece I dreamed of. Thank you Shawn!

We've been using Shawn for many years, and figured it was time to post a review. We also posted one at the Houzz website, and both are well-deserved. Shawn's team did a terrific job replacing our windows (20) a few years back. He also updated our front porch and breezeway, giving us a much-needed facelift. Looks great! SMCC also rebuilt several of our dormers, which were 24 years old and in need of repairs. Our biggest project was updating a Jack-n-Jill bathroom for ADA compliance. It's a wonderful Mother-In-Law's suite now, and fully accessible. In our most recent project, we re-textured and painted our garage. This garage seems to catch the extremes of every season, so we were after something better than typical indoor paint. Shawn's research led to a water-based epoxy paint, designed for extreme conditions. It looks great and feels great. All of Shawn's work has been top-notch and the crews have been first rate. The quality is there. The attitude is there. The flexibility is there. Most importantly, the trust is there. Shawn and Justins commitment to quality matches my own, and Im pretty demanding. Theyre always willing to talk through any issue and are dedicated to finding solutions that work. I hired SMC to remodel our veterinary practice several years ago. His company transformed a dated, modest, space into a soft, clean, functional, and efficient flow. The project included adding walls, moving other walls and doors, adding significant storage/cabinets, and an extensive overall facelift. Ultimately, the end result was exactly what we needed a working environment that mirrored the high level of professionalism and care we provide. He worked on our schedule and as an active business it was extremely import for us to minimize downtime. Ive subsequently hired SMC for a few revisions over time as our practice grew every time he ensured the end result was something he would be proud of in addition to meeting our expectations. Ive been extremely satisfied with the results.
