North Beach Dental

It had been a while since I've been to the dentist and the People at North Beach Dental were nothing but fantastic through and through. From the hygienist checking my gums to the the individual taking x-rays to the dentist providing the cleaning, everything was great. If I had to say any negatives it was that it was a bit slow and took longer than I anticipated but they were more than apologetic and recognized they were behind. I'll be happy to return to this dentist office on my next visit.

Great place with great people! Everyone, from the people at the front desk to the technicians, to the dentists, is professional, efficient, and personable. Any questions I have are always happily answered. The best part is that we always laugh a lot. It's a wonderful clinic with wonderful people.

I made an appointment as a new patient, Im new to the area. I was seen in a reasonable amount of time. I had told the receptionist and the technician I just wanted an exam and didnt want to pay anything that wasnt covered by my insurance. I didnt pay any money at that time. My treatment plan had a lot of extras and had me coming in for two visits with an of pocket total of over $700. I decided not to be treated there and made an appointment with my prior dentist out of state. I went to him and the necessary treatment was done with an out pocket of about $180 in one visit. I just got a bill from their billing company and it says I owe $108 for just an exam with no cleaning.

Dr Patel is a superior dentist. I have had a fear of dentist since a bad experience in Vietnam in 1967. Dr Patel made me feel comfortable while in the chair and was a straight forward no nonsense dentist. I highly recommend Dr Patel at North Beach Dental. Ms Adams the business manager is more than that she told me a few times all was going to be ok and it was. JO

Completely dissatisfied with the billing and office staff at this office. They billed me for something that I am normally covered at 100% but instead of verifying that it wasn't due just yet so that it would be covered they just went ahead with the procedure and now I'm paying for it. They claim that they cannot see my insurance benefits which is a lie, any medical professional can verify and see specifics of someone's insurance. I also made sure to always say "as long as my insurance covers it" and was told everything was good. Now I have a bill. I'm extremely frustrated with the office staff here and feel as if I was taken advantage of. That being said. The dentist and hygienist were very nice and knowledgeable. But I will not be returning because of the lack of, or better yet the fake lack of competence, of the office staff. Specifically the manager because the front desk clerk told me it's "just how they're trained." I just can't believe they can sit there and lie about what can and cannot be done when it comes to insurance verification and what they can and cannot "see" when it comes to their patients.
