I had cataract surgery by Carolina Eye Dr David Nelson Rock Hill Sc he used Restor 2.5 multifocal lens put in both eyes. This lens has been approved and being used in Europe since 2011 and the FDA approved it April 2015 to now be used in the USA. I bwent back to get my eyes reexamined 3 to 4 times and they told me it takes a good six months or so on some people to completely heal. I complained several times to the office that my reading and intermediate vision was not where it was suppose to be according to the built in reader and intermediate part of these lenses. So on 2 different visits to the office Dr nelson performed laser Yag surgery on both of my eyes at separate times. What the yag laser does is remove the membrane on the rear of the new lense that will start to cloud your vision if not removed. This procedure is super fast and no pain at all. Well it seemed to clear my eyes up a little bit and then a few days later the blurry vision for my reading and intermediate was back and it was worse than before. I have a astigmatism in each eye and my cataract surgery fees included a procedure called LRI which would take care of my astigmatism in each eye and the doctor said that the LRI is not needed because the Restor 2.5 lenses I have in each eye took care of the issue and I don't really know if I believe that. I should be seeing my distance like an eagle and my reading and intermediate from about 19" should be fantastic and it is blurry. This is not what I paid the extra for this new Restor 2.5 lenses that everybody has been waiting for. I am not happy at all. I was able to see better at my reading and intermediate before the surgery. I will edit this feedback once this problem with the lenses I have is corrected. I will keep this up to date. Had an eye exam at Gaston Eye and the Dr dilated my eyes and commented on my cataract surgery with Dr David Nelson that my left lenses has a huge scratch across the entire lens. I told the Dr that I can notice it he stated I could go blind if I got it replaced being Dr David Nelson scratched it or Alcon being I did research on them is known to have defects in their Restor 2.5 lens being one of the several defects is the lens inside the syringe that the lens are inside of are scratched so that explains the scratches lens being I thought Dr Nelson scratched it while inserting it in my eye while doing the surgery in my eye! I will have to hire litigation and open a lawsuit against Alcon being Nelson went out of business and I am making another appointment with another eye specialist surgeon to see what they say can be done about the scratches lens and the incorrect lens placement that the dr ordered and placed in my both eyes! Very very upset about this!

Thank you to Mrs. S.Prewitt, she was and am sure still is the best boss! I'll always be grateful to her for taking a chance on me in giving me the opportunity to work under her leadership. Honestly everyone there was great. I resigned for different reasons but if you're reading this please know theirs a lot of nepotism and the best thing to do is what everyone else does. Though, i also advise to do what's in alignment with your ethical values. I personally experienced a bully. To me personally he was nice until i reported his mean treatment to my colleagues and they too began to report him... Mind you, this was during the conversion period when Alcon had gone independent from being Novartis "per sey". Anyway, HR and the director had promised me that once our merger project was over they would grant me being remote again and when the time came, HR and director said no problem... GUESS WHAT? Mr Daniel Copeland decided that bc he didn't really know me "he didn't feel comfortable" me working from home. Then he said "it wouldn't be fair" then he suggested to give it ANOTHER year and maybe then he'd reconsider. My son was sick and i was holding back his treatment bc i didn't want to quit in the middle of a project nor did i think it was fair for my colleagues.. I asked if we can do partially remote and some days on site. HR, my boss, and director thought it was a fair agreement give the circumstances and Daniel got upset, got up and walked out of the meeting! Anyway, thats when A LOT of ppl internally started reaching out to me and heard of what happened and told me their stories about him. And that's how i learned that the rumors of nepotism are 100% true... When it comes to Daniel, he really benefits from knowing ppl in higher up positions. Whats crazy is i respected this guy bc he was nice to me but when i saw the way he treated others WOW this guy was mean!! Just not who i thought he was and he will black ball anyone who isn't on his good side. Trust me, I'm not the only person who quit bc of this guy. Mind you, what pushed me to do it sooner was my sons health. FYI, this guy prides himself as being a Christian... Bro, I'm ashamed that he does bc he's giving us a bad rep with the way he deameans ppl as 2nd class citizens. But Alcon as an employer i liked a lot. I went through a stage when they were in/out of mergers so the yrs i was there was extremely understandable bc I've worked with other employers that've merged so it was no big deal to me. I learned a lot about business/office politics and overall I'd go back but if it meant working for Daniel, I'll take the pass! lol that guy is something else. He makes toxic feel nice. I give it a 4 because their leave policy is honestly horrible.. Basically even when approved you still gotta come in to work those days and if not it needed a doctors explanation and forget getting the day after treatment approved. it was sad bc i personally witnessed it being a hardship to others that weren't able to resign but still would ask to have certain days off to care for their loved ones... I'll say this, their bereavement leave is the best "break" you're going to get and even then they still have expectations to where you're technically not off. I was an exports coordinator/direct shipments. The people were nice very great experience and I'd give it a 5 star but i can't get past the lack the leave policy they have in place or how they have multiple reports on a person and they overlook it bc of their relatives in the company. that's bad.
