Ms. Jones, we completed the work on this property over 2 years ago. This is the first time we’ve heard from you since we completed our work. No one has ever contacted us saying they thought they were owed a refund of any kind. Gaven assured you back then that you had a valid warranty with Straight Line. We completed all the work that we were contracted to do. The city originally signed off on the engineer's final report and closed out the permit as complete. The Civil Engineer hired came out and certified in his report that we did all work that was on our contract to do. It wasn't until the third-party inspector (that your contractor hired) called the city, that our permit was re-opened. It was re-opened because the third-party inspector your contractor hired was requiring additional work beyond what was on our contract. Additional work that was not in our original scope of work to do. We gave your contractor a bid for the additional work that his third-party inspector was requesting. Your contractor declined to have us do the work and hired someone else to do it. Your review sounds like you’re saying that we took 35K from your mom and did not finish the work. That is simply not true. I have the engineer's report showing that we did all work contracted. Your mom should have a copy as well. Posting a review saying a company took $35,000.00 dollars from you and did not complete the work and or did not give you a refund is a very big accusation. Again, this is not the case. In closing, we did not refuse to finish the work we charged for. There was additional work requested beyond our original contract that your contractor had someone else do. In 2 years, you never once called us to say you were unhappy with our work or that you thought you were owed a refund.
