If you are into mid-century modern, get yourself over to Atomic. A steady pipeline of really cool and affordable furniture, fixtures, bar ware, etc. Last time in, I even saw a dude carry out a really nice, vintage, hi-fi record player/cabinet. If I didn't already have one, I would have beat him to it!

Discovering Treasures at Atomic Then & Now
From the moment I stepped into Atomic Then & Now, I was captivated. It's not just a store; it's an ever-changing gallery blending mid-century vintage with contemporary finds . The owners and fellow shoppers create a welcoming atmosphere , and the cleanliness is impressive my friend couldn't find a speck of dust, even on the ceiling vents!
Each visit feels like a new adventure, thanks to the weekly rearrangement of items . The variety of prices means there's something for everyone . On my last visit, I stumbled upon a beautiful bowl, priced at just $10 . Its weight suggested it was heavy glass, possibly Pyrex, but it was the way it caught the light, especially with tangerines nearby, that caught my eye.
Here's where the story gets interesting . I loved this bowl so much that I went on a hunt for the matching set. Little did I know, a quick glance at the name on the bottom - Nachtmann - would reveal its true identity. It wasn't just glass; it was vintage German crystal, predating the era of mandatory 'Made in ____' labels onn imports. My $10 discovery turned out to be a rare gem!
