It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!†He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.†Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. I was not going to be able to return the same night for the correct order, so I was told to bring in the receipt next time and they would take care of me.
Fast forward to a couple days later, and I go in with my receipt.
I was treated very well through the whole process of getting the correct order, with the manager on duty stating that they were going to watch and make sure the order was done right.
I felt valued as a customer, but I wasn't too surprised by this, because it is the norm for this particular location.
