The nursing staff was great. Especially Aaron. The staff however lacked empathy and passion. I only saw a therapist one time and then was told I had to transfer due to some medical issues they couldnt handle. Ive never been anywhere that I was so miserable. Staff definitely had their favorites and made an effort to spend time getting to know them, but pretty much ignored everyone else. I work in treatment and know that empathy and compassion are absolutely necessary for ALL clients. Getting sober is hard enough without being made to feel as though no one cares which is exactly how I felt while I was there.

I wouldn't suggest going here if your court ordered and are able to choose a rehab. I got asthma and it gets really bad when mixed with allergies like dogs. I usually take one or two puffs before I go to bed. I woke up wheezing and struggling to breathe and because the inhaler recommends a puff every 4-6 hours which doesn't matter they wouldn't give it to me. Any form of habit there they are totally against not mention u can't make ANY phone calls to loved ones when lonely. And it's a holistic approach to addiction which obviously doesn't work

Daughter got HSV-2 here and was asked to leave early. By the time she left, she was on 7 different psych meds! Took a while to wean her back down to the 2-3 psych meds her psychiatrist now prescribes her 2 years later. She has BPD (much better now given her DBT education) which is why I didn't give 1 star. Ie, she is half to blame given it takes 2 to tango, but where was the oversight?

Rigorous, outcome-oriented program. The blending of Mindfulness in Recovery with traditional 12-step work is a game changer. Excellent, professional, caring staff.

Im so grateful for the staff and program at Burning Tree. Being able to work through the 12 Steps while also learning a mindfulness practice has been remarkable. The Recovery Mentors, counselors, and staff have provided amazing support and insight through this process. Coming to Burning Tree has truly changed my life in ways I never imagined. Sobriety not only seems possible but exciting.
