Everyone was so nice and helpful. The staff was caring and very supportive with my mom after she had surgery. We are grateful for everything they did for us.

Great place to come to for inpatient rehab. The staff is caring and awesome. The food is good too or at least better than hospital food. The therapists are great at pushing you to reach your goals. Would recommend. Thanks to all at Las Palmas Rehabilitation

Everyone was so nice and helpful it's been over a year since the MVA I was in. Here is where my physical therapy began. Totally recommend. When I was discharged the therapist and nurses all said goodbye at the door cheering for me to recover. A FOTO from back then.

I'm 74. I've been to different medical facilities over the past few years.. I never once dreamed that I would find myself at anyplace of this type genre that would be worth a 5 stars review,. Well, I found that place right here. For the first time in my life, I feel comfortable in a hospital. I don't even like to visit others in one. When my tests at Las Palmas Medical on Oregon were complete (please see my 0-1 star review of the miserable month that I spent there), I, at first, refused to transfer to anyplace named Las Palmas. I wouldn't sign the paper to come here. Eventually, a nurse at Oregon that I liked and trusted came by to tell me that she had worked here before. She related that she didn't know anyplace else where I could get the right kind of help such as I would receive here, and how great it was here, etc. It took a while, but I finally acquiesced. I'm very blessed that she persevered, and sold me on coming here. I arrived here very late at night. I was settled in with alacrity, and offered food and drink. Seemingly little efforts such as these impress me. There was no "we'll have to wait for morning" type of malarkey. This type of graveyard service is highly unusual for a patient's nights in hospitals anywhere I've ever been. I slept better that first night here than I had in weeks, and without a lot drugs.. By the end of the first day, I had talked to anyone and everyone of consequence that I would need for my rehabilitation. I could name some names for praise here, but I'd surely forget someone. The staff is uniformly superior anyway. The main therapist schooled me on what to expect, so I was ready to start. I have an occupational therapist and a physical therapist. Between them, I receive a minimum 3 hours of intensive work per day. Sometimes, if they have extra time to fill up on their own timesheets, they will just come get me. This extra exercise will only speed up my recovery, and is greatly appreciated. They are both on the ball. Some of my background is in athletics and kinesiology, so I know what I'm talking about as I appraise. The most surprising discovery here is the kitchen and the food. Everybody who has been in a hospital will remember the tasteless, non-nutritional stuff they bring at mealtime. The fare here is amazing. It's just the opposite of dire expectations. You could compare it to a restaurant menu, easily. They are actually concerned about feeding me well here. I am always asked how the meal was. Because of my missing dentures, I'm designated to have "easy to chew" food. At any hospital, that means ice cream scoops of baby food slop. Here, it's also REAL food. They will make hashes that taste remarkable, scrambled eggs loaded with cheese and peppers, etc. I've never been disappointed. I'm always told that they will bring something else more to my liking, but that has never been necessary. I must mention one small, but tremendously significant detail, at least important to me. Artificial sweeteners are cancer causing killers, the pink package being the worst. The blue and yellow packets are a little better, but still are manufactured using only chemicals. Natural sugar isn't any healthy choice.. Within the past 2 1/2 years, I have undergone 3 inpatient operations, 1 outpatient surgery, and outpatient therapy. One might hope that a place like a hospital or clinic would ban those dangerous products but I've never seen such. Everywhere, it's going to be the bad stuff.. I have found Stevia to be great for sweetening. It's totally natural. This happened at the last hospital. They actually refused to let me bring in my own Stevia. No outside food allowed! I was hoping when I got here that they would allow me to use my own sweeteners. I was ASTOUNDED when I saw Stevia on my tray the very next meal that came after I asked about it. You see, Stevia costs more than carcinogens. A lot more. The health workers overrule the bean counters here. Think about that. If you have the need for any kind of physical rehab, make this place your final destination.
