My last visit was wonderful. She explains everything well. She is not in a hurry like other doctors. She is good , she observed something I was trying to hide. She noticed in my demeanor the stress I was under and talk to me about finding someone (counselor) to talk to. She was very understanding.

Dr. Eady took such great care of me during my recent pregnancy. She advocated for me when my baby turned breech and did a ECV procedure which helped me have the birth I wanted. I feel like she also takes time to review recent research and shares her rationales for everything. Her office staff was also very professional. El Paso is lucky to have her.

As a new resident to EPTX&expecting,I was looking for a Vbac supporting doctor since there is no credible midwifes/birth centers. This is my 3rd birth,Ive been told scare tatics about baby being too big (ur weight/belly size has ZERO indicator on size of baby btw)&bc of that,I was forced into a C-section with my 1st.Told he was going to be 10-13lbs(ultrasounds can be off by 1-5lbs +\-) to end up him being 8lbs&a unnecessary C-section.For my 2nd pregnancy I got the best midwife in California&had a successful VBAC.My midwife told me all the scare tatics western medicine uses to scare mothers into getting unnecessary inductions:baby too big, low fluids, placenta stopping to work at 35weeks,Pitocin if baby is taking too long etc. Having this being my 3rd pregnancy,I was more educated on birth. Dr.Eady was one of the highest rating OBGYNS in the city.Expressing wanting a VBAC (which I was a candidate for),no inductions, waiting at least 41weeks before intervention,She was on board&supported VBACs.Until I hit 35weeks.She started having me do growth scans every week along with diabetes tests since I was considered over weight.Which she knew I was for 9mths& informed her my body gains 50lbs during pregnancy. At 36wks she said my babies fluid was low&possibly start thinking abt induction. At my 37w app, freaking out for a week about this low fluid she mentioned last week, she doesnt recall mentioning it!Then Dr.Eady starts telling me I need to schedule a induction bc I am overweight, not my baby. She said baby is abt 7lbs(which is right on tract). Then she tells me asking for a natural birth is promising a C-section.I am in disbelief how the last weeks of my pregnancy her demeanor changed from supportive to pushy. She schedules an induction at 37.5w to which I had NO IDEA UNTIL THE HOSPITAL CALLED ME later that day.I turn it down.At my 38w app she made it clear she was unhappy with that.Informed her again unless medically necessary,I will not do an induction ESPECIALLY trying for a VBAC as it will increase my chances of a repeating C-section/uterine rupture. At this appointment she starts telling me the dangers of VBACS, how if my baby gets stuck in my birth canal she wont apologize if she has to break its clavicle! (bbys can get stuck in any type of birth). She then says I have 4 kids at home, who is going to watch my kids if you give birth during the weekend. *my due date was on a Sunday*.Its not the patients obligation to accommodate Drs when we have our babies! She continues We are in modern medicine, 40wks pregnant isnt standard so why wait if we can have the baby earlier 40wks isnt full term,38 is your placenta is stopping working because your 31, we dont want you to go over 40weeks.I couldnt believe what Dr.Eady was saying to me.All births are risks, I know what risks come with VBACS,I am ok with interventions if medically necessary but telling me who is going to watch her kids if I give birth on the weekend or telling me since modern Medicine can make me have a baby at 37w, I should do it.She secluded me ANOTHER induction for 38wks. I didnt go.I felt defeated.I know my rights,I dont have to get induced &I can go to any hospital to give birth as the law cannot deny you.Not something I wanted to do but being told its our policy to not have me vbac after 40wks is a lie.At now my 39wk app I told her I am waiting my full 40w to see if my body goes into birth naturally. She made it clear she was livid.I straight out said is my baby in danger,is her fluid/heart rate low/in stress/do I have diabetes/preeclampsia/is she measuring over 9lbs Dr.Eady said no.After going back&fourth abt induction I said if my baby isnt here by 41wks,Ill do an induction. She scheduled an induction at 41w.Saturday night comes, water breaks at exactly 39.5w,go to the hospital&was holding my baby within 15mins from checking in.100%natural.Mothers,youre allowed to say no to Drs.You are allowed to make decisions on ur bby&body.Research laws.Know your rights.I do not recommend Dr.Eady.
