After purchasing pizza for an impromptu gathering at my home, I spotted this place on my way home. I thought I would dash in and grab a couple of bottles of wine for my guests to enjoy with their pizza. The lady who assisted me with selecting the wines was very courteous. Well, when I got home and opened one of the bottles of wine and poured for my guests, I saw a really strange look on one persons face. When I asked what was the problem, the guest said something didn't seem right with the wine. When I sipped on the wine, I also immediately tasted the awfulness (imagine sipping on vinegar). Now, 'to make a long story short' as the saying goes, the year that the wine was bottled was 2012. Apparently, that is way beyond the industry suggested three-year 'sell-by' date of 2015/2016, and thus the reason for the vinegary taste. I took the blame for this screw-up and apologized to everyone. As is the American Way, I used this failure to educate myself in order to make sure it never happens again. It turned out that both bottles had 2012 bottling dates on them. Of course I will never again buy from this place.
