Western Technical College - Diana Campus

Being a current nursing student here is unreal. Excited to start the program and as strict as they are about having to be dedicated to the program and no family life but that doesn't pertain to them personally as INSTRUCTORS. The first 3 semesters where on it Gen Ed. Instructor until the nursing part begins, they are very unorganized, unprofessional, and talk about you behind your back when you bring up concerns calling you a problematic person paying 80k for a program you would only want to receive your monies worth. They do not go by their syllabus for exams, studies or lectures and if they fall behind do to personal matter in their home you have to do it ALL yourself which is 95% of the time. You try to ask questions and it's like pulling teeth to get an answer. It takes 1 week sometimes NEVER for an email response when assignments are due, a 20 chapter exam 1 day before when they had 16 weeks to prepare you changing lectures and chapters last minute. If your a self-learner and dont need guidance this program maybe for you but people who never did nursing ever this is a struggle that you will not get help in from the nursing instructors.

Im attending a course on El Paso water. Ive never been a huge fan of school but all the teachers ive had have been very good and helpful. I appreciate the attention to detail that they have put into the course and class work.

I believe the schooling is fair they have amazing teachers that are there to help with anything you need they even go out of there way to help with tutoring if you believe u need help

Ms. Sandy is the best counselor/advisor someone could have. She will never make you feel any less of a person due to your academic struggles and will encourage you to keep going. She is easily one of the main reasons i was able to get back on my feet and pass my teas exam! She is someone who genuinely cares about her students. She calls/texts to constantly check in and see how you're doing, and will always provide you with exactly what is needed for your next steps in school!
