In 2 words: "FALSE ADVERTISING". Their posted prices as visible from the road are $0.25 for 1 gallon, $0.50 for 3 gallons, and $1.25 for 5 gallons... when you get to the actual dispenser/pay panel, they've increased prices $0.25 across the board with a sharpie. So, in reality its $0.50 for 1 gallon, $0.75 for 3, and $1.50 for 5 gallons. While the 3 and 5 gallon prices are tolerable, the 1 gallon price is just ridiculous.
The bottom line for me is the false advertising. If you're too cheap to invest in new signage to reflect price changes, how can consumers be confident you're bothering with other related expenses... like filter changes, sanitation standards, etc? I certainly can't.
Posting one price, then charging another is ILLEGAL, and I refuse to spend another nickle with them if this is what they consider good business practice. To the owners: when you're facing the Atty General about this, it was ME that put them on you, simply due to your greed).
