Dr. Greer and the other therapists in the office are amazing! Her staff is incredibly friendly, and they make scheduling a breeze. I highly reccomend this office if you are looking to get any help for you or a loved one.

I am leaving my first ever negative review, something I am distinctly uncomfortable with but feel the issue requires it to give others the proper warning as the last thing those seeking help need to be treated the way we were. I made an appointment specifically for Denton location but was informed day of we needed to be in Frisco. Simple, human error we overlooked. Of interest, when I made that appointment, I was told they wouldnt accept Medicaid (despite it being listed on their website) until November. No big deal though... I discussed with front desk gentleman the cash rate and was fine with paying that out of pocket for as long as we needed. But since we our first appointment had to be rescheduled a few weeks later in the Denton office, it was my understanding Medicaid would be accepted at that time. It wasnt, but regardless, its a moot point because we were always comfortable paying the full price in order for our daughter to get the care she needed for as long as it took. So my husband returns at the new appointment ready to get our daughter into care. He was informed at that time that Medicaid was still not accepted...ok. I work in healthcare and understand the bureaucracy and paperwork associated to Medicaid. No big deal. This should have been my red flag but I chalked it up to just life. What is not ok and down right appaling is that Michelle Greer looked him and down and informed him he couldnt afford her. In front of our daughter, who already felt therapists were judgmental snobs. Now, granted...my husband takes perverse pleasure in dressing down. But I cant fathom how a professional, educated therapist could be so blatantly judgemental and careless with words. OF ALL PROFESSIONS, how can a therapist be so offensive and vulgar? How do you justify such poor, ethical behavior right off the bat? Just ...how? I really want to know how such behavior was even remotely acceptable. I suspect this office will respond in a very dismissive, accusatory fashion to this as you have others on this thread, and that is fine. My message for you Michelle is that you would do well to do some self evaluation and personal reflection. What you did was wrong, and adversely impactful on my daughter for no valid reason. Thankfully, she had my husband to show her how to be firm and polite where the unaffordable elitist professionals could not. My message for others is look elsewhere for mental health support. I am giving the benefit of the doubt that some of the positive reviews here are legit. There appears to be the capacity for some to be treated with dignity and respect. But not for all. And in this arena where people need compassion and respect, why further jeopardize your well being based on appearance?

I have mixed feelings about my experience with Dr. Greer. I used her as a parenting facilitator several years ago at the Denton office. I never had any issues with scheduling, etc. as some have complained. I found the office to be a very warm, therapeutic environment. She helped in a facilitator role, however I left every session being verbally abused by my ex with literally zero pushback from her (eg: saying something as simple as "we don't talk to each other that way here" - there seemed to be no boundaries). Eventually I stopped going because in my attempt to leave an abusive relationship this became a weekly meeting for me to continue to be abused. Dr. Greer is very nice and helpful but I'm not sure she has the temperament to handle certain toxic types in that setting, so be forewarned if that is your situation. Sadly, I just left each session feeling broken and battered.
