In sum: Krio operates an incredibly clean, friendly, and inviting atmosphere here in the Bishop Arts District while serving some damn good food. You'll want to make a visit soon. Food: The Webster dictionary should include "Krio" as a synonym to the word "Variety". Wow, is their menu diverse and equally delicious. I had the following: Cajun " Egg " Rolls, Jalapeno Ginger Chicken, and Caesar Salad. I highly HIGHLY RECOMMEND the Jalapeo Ginger Chicken with fried rice as your choice. Allen, the Chef who also works the main bar on occasion, should make this as his first dish if he's ever a contestant on a cooking competition show - I couldn't stop eating it! The portions you get here are HUGE and the price, incredibly reasonable. Honest business owners who clearly strive to ensure all of their patrons share in an incredible and budget friendly experience. This is a great quality to see in Bishop Arts District which continues to develop and expand. The Caesar salad was top tier. Enough said. From noodles to sandwiches, they have it all. Enough variety for you to come back again and again - trust me, you'll want to. Service: If you think my food review was excellent, multiple that x3 for the quality and friendliness of service. Upon your first visit, you'll leave with a fully belly and new friends. Absolutely every employee here is kind, generous, attentive, and caring - great group of hires by the owners who obviously share these values. Second to none though, was Kevin, who duals as a bartender and server at Krio. His demeanor and quality of service rivals that of any staff member in DFW. I will personally request a table in his section on all my future visits - Thank you, Kevin! All in all, you can't go wrong with a lunch, dinner, or just drinks at Krio. If you're visiting (or live in) the Bishop Arts area, be sure to make Krio a stop on your list. You won't regret it.
