I saw a promo offer for a Mothers Day special on IG. $200 for microshading. You know the saying if it seems too good to be true? Well, I paid the $50 deposit and scheduled for sat may 13th. Im getting confirmation and reminder emails all week for my 9am and I think wow, so professional!! I go to my appointment, arrive 5 min early and the suite is closed. I wait until 905 and then I call her number. Voicemail, then I text no response, then I message in IG no response. Call again.. no response. My daughter calls to see if I made it to my appointment and I explain the situation. My daughter calls from her number and the owner answers right away. My daughter explains that Im at her shop. She says whose your mother, I dont have any appointments, I dont see a confirmation. My daughter screenshots her everything and explains Ive been trying to reach her and whats going on? her only response is I dont know but, this is where we are. If your mother can wait I can start driving out there. Needless to say my daughter went off on her due to her nonchalant attitude and no apology whatsoever. Im leaving this review because I too, am a business owner. Its fine to post lovely videos and pics on IG, but a business will never survive without customer service and compassion. Thankfully, my bank reversed the deposit charge due to a merchant not providing an agreed upon service. Very disappointing. I was able to get in on Monday at another salon for the service. She has already sent me pre and post instructions and thanked me for choosing her salon. Big difference. Ive learned the hard way, just because a company is on IG does not mean theyre ethical.
