Everyone there genuinely cared about my hearing and quality of life. They had several options to help me with vertigo and took time to explain them to me. I am extremely pleased with my results.

Great surgeon and for that I am greatful. The area of improvement is listening and considering patient needs as well as his beside manner. He waited till 30 mins before my surgery to tell me he would not do my surgery if I did not agree to accept blood in an emergency! Which put me in an emotional tail spin right before having major brain surgery. Then gave me pain medication I'm allergic post op. When I asked for a different pain medicine he instructed me to take motrin after a craniotomy! Also discharged me 1 day postop from the ICU instead of the 3 to 4 days instructed prior to surgery to be sure I am OK with heart issues. Came off as careless and inconsiderate. Maybe if I were someone he cared about my treatment would have been more thoughtful and considerate of patient needs. Medicine has definitely changed.

Our son previously had a Tympanoplasty with another doctor but it ended with the graft not taking and leaving a hole in the eardrum. This time we went to Dr. Rodgers and underwent a second Tympanoplasty with mastoidectomy. Dr. Rodgers was very compassionate, knowledgeable, and patient with us. He was always willing to further explain anything we needed clarified. We were put at ease with his confidence in the procedure he was performing on our son. We always felt as though we were in great hands. And this time the graft took! No more hole in the eardrum!
