Dr. Burkhead did a complete reverse shoulder replacement for me. He thoroughly explained every step of the procedure, how he would manage my pain and my prospects for recovering the complete range of motion for my shoulder. His staff, especially Helene, were excellent in handling all of the arrangements and keeping my informed on all issues. The surgery was totally successful and with a minimum of pain. After only 5 months I have recovered 90% of my range of motion and I am still improving. Also, his bedside manner is special. He has a great sense of humor and puts the patient completely at ease. This is a most special doctor, the best in Texas if not in the whole country, and I cannot thank him enough for allowing me to regain the use of my arm and shoulder. God Bless you. Bonnie C

After shattering my shoulder in a fall . Dr Burkhead did a reverse shoulder replacement on my left side. Wow!! . After the recovery period there is no pain . I feel complete again and Dr. Burkhead is the very best . Love him and Helene . Thank you so very much !!!!

Dr. Burkhead and his PA Helena has been so great at taking care of my shoulders over the years. This last surgery was a total right shoulder replacement and they both have done an excellent job. I highly recommend them if you ever need any type of shoulder surgery. All of the surgeons at the Carrell clinic are excellent at what they do. Mary M.
