I have been going to St Martins for the last 34 years. It was my go to place to impress a date. Never failed! At least the restaurant never failed to impress! John, Ameen and Sonny the bartender are the best period! I even had my reception dinner there. Soft lights, good piano music, impeccable service and fantastic food. For me it gets no better than St Martins.

I've never used this word in my reviews before: this restaurant is *exceptional*. I always start with ambiance and they really put thought into every inch of this new location. It is stunning from the green marble tile floors to the brick walls and chandeliers. AND THEN. the food. stop. I cannot even deal with how good it was. Recommendations: mussels with french fries, caesar salad (you know a restaurant is good based on their caesar), the Roussini filet, and the rack of lamb was the most perfectly prepared lamb I've ever had, the bread pudding. The service was so amazing, Charlie was top notch. Ladies, I recommend taking a sweater, it gets chilly in the booths. It is dark, romantic, the piano is playing but you can still hear convo, it is a perfect date spot, special celebration, or even just a cool bar spot with friends.

St. Martin's restaurant on Greenville has always been one of my very favorite places to go for atmosphere, service, and food for over 25 years. Tonight, I went to the new St. Martins location on Bryan St.......GREAT environment and service but, VERY disappointed with the menu/food. The Sole was dry with nothing more than melted butter/capers (as a sauce) to moisten. Vegetables were basic thin slices of onions and leeks, tasteless and colorless. So, my main course was, to say the least, not worth the price I paid. For a party of four people, our bill was approx. $400 for dry, tasteless, overcooked, too sweet entrees. The wine was fair and the Cesar salad was the best dish I had all night. The dessert of ice cream and chocolate sauce was NOTHING like the same dessert at the old location. The chocolate sauce had hardened making it difficult to eat without sloshing it right off the plate and onto the floor. The piano player was cordial, waiter was amazing, atmosphere was perfect.........food, disappointing! Please bring back your chef/recipes from the old St. Martin's on Greenville or continue to lose established customers because of the higher prices for less quality food and preparation. I hate writing this review but feel, if you are reading it, hopefully you will see some value in my comments. P.S. I hope you bring back the Souffle' BUT only if it is up to par with the old St. Martin's.
