Neurology Clinic - Epilepsy - UT Southwestern

Terrible experience. Have tried to make an appointment for past 3 months. Spent hours on the phone and each time got a different response. Got a referral from my internist as one person stated and then informed nurse would call and after several weeks of waiting and not hearing anything called back and now wanted me to first see a general neurologist. Their website is very misleading and people answering the phone all give different answers depending on who answers. No consistency and the patient gets the short end of the stick. For a tertiary care center they should have a better system in place. Very disappointed.

Impossible to get a hold of anyone ever. You can call every single day for a month and you will never speak to anyone, nor will they ever return your call.

Not a great experience with the Neurology department. Way overpriced for the quality of service that they offer, and their departmental policies are the worst.

I have been trying to get an appt for coming up on four weeks now. Every time I call they say that someone will contact me within 24-48 hours. They have said that to me three times now and I still haven't heard anything. A lady told me to call this afternoon if I haven't heard anything, of course I haven't. I just called and waited on hold for 32 minutes while they were "looking for a scheduler" and of course the phones turned over at 5pm and ended my call. An absolute joke. I schedule patients and deal with referrals every single day, and I would never treat future patients this way. 12/23- finally got an appointment for 12/10 and they called 12/9 to reschedule because they changed me from seeing a MD to a PA. I had to reschedule to a day that didn't work. Waited on hold for 27 mins to reschedule and could not wait any longer. I finally called to reschedule today and they told me that based on my referral I need to see an ophthalmologist instead of a neurologist and that I would need a new referral. WHY DID THEY SCHEDULE ME WITH A NEUROLOGIST IN THE FIRST PLACE, BUT NOW THEY CAN'T RESCHEDULE ME WITH ONE?! This place is a joke and I'll probably die before I can ever be seen by them.
