Admirals Club

Been a member of the Admirals Club for over 33 years. So sad to watch how the environment has degraded over the years. People dress like theyre going to the beach, they leave trash all over the place and they feel entitled to every seat in the house. American rolls out a free membership with their credit card and all but destroys a once great place with a peaceful atmosphere. All you can do is laugh it off to corporate profits. I guess it still beats no club at all but not by much. Great job to the workers here. They are constantly running.

I got the citi card because the added membership was a plus since I like to travel. After visiting this club it's not a plus actually it's a regret almost. Let's start with the food, What food? Pita chips Red pepper hummus that is watery Cubed cheese Salad mix from a bag Cherry tomatoes Shredded cheese Cubed chicked as if the Caribbean chicken served with no sides wasn't enough. They also had chicken soup no vegetarian option. For dessert, brownies and some other cake or maybe bread pudding. I couldn't figure it out. They also had rice krispies. Drinks your usual coffee, soda, water and tea. At the bar they should serve other food items but the kitchen was closed. My biggest issue is that they don't have enough food or variety. What about us the vegans and vegetarians? We don't get a hot option, sides or even soup. We are always forgotten and it's very frustrating when I ask for these options and I'm told that they have salad. Like is that the only thing we eat? Of course not!! It's 2023 where so many restaurants offer vegan/vegetarian options. The Service was ok Raddie was nice but seemed bothered when I asked him for a clean glass. He kept calling me sweetheart and although some women find it endearing other women don't really appreciate it. The atmosphere was not nice, it was crowded and very hot. The bar is very limited on what they have and it doesn't have outlets under the counter to charge the phone thank God they had an extension cord. It was funny how Raddie said at least we have that lol. American Airlines needs to get it together and get with the program. There are a lot of us vegan and vegetarian members/passengers that would really appreciate some consideration and acknowledgement.
