Imagine, just for a second, that you live in a different world. In this world, when you are traveling in France or Canadá, your child can have a conversation with adults or other kids in French with such a pure Parisian accent that no local would ever suspect that he/she did not grew up in France.Imagine a world where in highschool the honors class is the entire highschool, 9th graders present the College Board "AP French" exam and every single 9th grader gets a solid 5 (max AP grade).Imagine a place where AP courses and IB (International Baccalaureate) or FB (French Baccalaureate) diplomas are not mutually exclusive and, 1370 SAT and 30 ACT scores are the average.Sounds like a familiar place? If it does not then you should consider DIS for your kids.

At the end of the day this was an expensive way for a child to learn French.   They really should name this cool the Dallas International Girls School, especially after fifth grade as the gender ratio becomes very skewed against boys.  The school is currently not meeting their student population quota and staff turnover is becoming an issue as of 2018.

Dedicated intelligent and remarkable teachers, each of whim has a broad, open cultural view of the world. When you leave your child in the care of a school you need full confidence that the social and emotional environment is warm, safe, and well structured. This school provides that. The languages and academic excellence are almost a given. Yes, he reads in three languages. Yes, he understands the historical relevance of ancient civilizations. Yes, he writes code in Scratch. All good private schools do this. But the joy my child shows in the morning heading to school, and the babble of exciting new ideas and conversations with interesting friends when I pick him up- the hugs from the teacher and tears at the end of the school year- these are the stories that show the great values of this school. In spite of the high academic ranking there is a strong focus on the whole child and careful limits on homework quantity. Time for living. Well judged. (Btw- I see a false report or two here. A supposed teacher writes of focus on star tests? There is no Star testing in this school. Its an IB school. I think its a fake review!)
